Using the Research Tool
The Research tool helps you discover trending topics, industry news, competitor insights, and content ideas.
Accessing Research
- Click Tools in the navigation
- Select Research
- Or go directly to /dashboard/research
Research Categories
The Research tool offers four types of research, each in its own tab:
Trending
Discover what's currently hot in your industry. Get trending topics that are getting engagement right now.
Competitor
Research what competitors in your space are talking about and identify content gaps you can fill.
Ideas
Generate fresh content ideas based on your industry and keywords. Great for when you're stuck.
News
Find recent news and announcements relevant to your industry that you can comment on or react to.
How to Research
- Select a research category tab
- Enter your industry (e.g., "SaaS", "Marketing", "Healthcare")
- Add keywords related to your topic (you can add multiple)
- Select a target platform (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
- Click Research
- Review the results
Using Research Results
Each result shows relevant topics with context. You can:
- Read through the findings
- Click Use Topic on any result to carry it to the Create page
- Copy insights to inform your content
- Use multiple results to build comprehensive posts
Research Best Practices
- Be specific with keywords: "B2B SaaS pricing" beats just "pricing"
- Try different categories: Each tab surfaces different insights
- Check timing: News-based content is time-sensitive
- Combine insights: Mix findings from multiple categories for unique takes
Caching
Research results are cached for faster repeat lookups. You'll see an indicator when viewing cached results, and can refresh to get fresh data.
