Your knowledge base provides TonAIlity with information about your business, products, and brand.

Why Use a Knowledge Base?

Without context, AI makes assumptions. Your knowledge base ensures:

  • Accurate information about your products/services
  • Consistent messaging aligned with your brand
  • Relevant examples and case studies
  • Up-to-date details about your business

What to Upload

Recommended Documents

  • Company overview/about page
  • Product or service descriptions
  • Brand guidelines
  • FAQs and common questions
  • Case studies or success stories
  • Pricing information
  • Industry reports you've created

Supported Formats

  • PDF documents
  • Text files (.txt)
  • Word documents (.doc, .docx)
  • Markdown files (.md)

How to Upload

There are two ways to add knowledge to TonAIlity:

During Onboarding

  1. Go through the onboarding flow at /onboarding/knowledge-base
  2. Upload documents or paste text content
  3. The AI will extract and store key information

Brand Guidelines (Settings)

  1. Go to Settings → Brand Guidelines
  2. Upload a PDF of your brand guidelines
  3. We'll extract key brand information automatically

Brain Bank (Coming Soon)

A dedicated knowledge management area is coming under Tools → Brain Bank where you'll be able to:

  • Add and organize documents
  • View extracted content
  • Update or remove materials

Managing Your Knowledge

View Uploaded Content

See all documents and their status in Settings.

Remove Documents

If information is outdated:

  1. Find the document
  2. Click Remove
  3. Upload updated version if needed

Best Practices

  • Keep documents current
  • Remove outdated information
  • Add new materials as they're created
  • Include a variety of content types

How It's Used

When generating content, TonAIlity:

  1. Analyzes your topic
  2. Searches your knowledge base
  3. Incorporates relevant information
  4. Ensures factual accuracy

The more comprehensive your knowledge base, the better your content.
